1. Happy Friday!!

Well today it officially feels like Fall. Still haven’t decided how I feel about it, but because I love my outfit today, I guess I’m okay with it. ;)

This is such a simple getup I threw together -gotta love accessories!! My black “imitation” leather pants (H&M $34.95); a plain loose black tank (no more than $10 at tjmaxx), underneath a comfy loose sweater (H&M $29.95); and a light utility jacket that I fell head-over-heels for when I found the last one at a Forever 21 store for only $15 bucks!! the only problem was that it was 2 sizes too big, but clearly that didn’t stop me from making the purchase and now I wear it all the time as a light cover up. The black knit scarf I actually got for $10 when I bought a pair of jeans at cotton on a few years ago -funny how some of my favorite pieces are the ones I wasn’t even intentionally shopping for.

What I love about this sweater and utility jacket is how light they are. I am always cold, but I heat up really fast and I find nothing more aggravating than overheating in my cute clothes when I go from indoor-outdoor/hot to cold temps. Since I had to do some walking on my commute to work this AM I knew I was going to get a little toasty during my hike across town so I also left my heels at home and stuck with the little black flats (another great TJ Maxx purchase).

The jewelry, yet again, is my favorite part. The chain bracelet I get more compliments on than another other piece of jewelry I own (thanks Mama!). It was originally a long necklace that just weighed me down, so I wrap it around my wrist and it dresses up any outfit. The big chunky black heart ring is from Forever21 and the turquoise bow bracelet is another TJ Max purchase (I think this one was $14) that color matches my dainty Brandy Melville cross necklace ($8 -seems to no longer be available but MAN I love that store, visit at your own risk).

And that’s a wrap! A simple Fall outfit great for daytime and still fit to go straight to HH on this Friday night!
