Royal blue and half moon designs? - Oh yeah, I must have been in a dreamy state-of-mind when picking out my polish this week!
For months I’ve been dying to get the half-moon design on my nails, but was having trouble making the right pairing. Finally found the perfect inspiration on Pinterest - when in doubt, less is more.
I picked this OPI “Taupe Less Beach” pinkish/grey and with French White for the half moons. The neutral colors are great for winter, but I can’t wait to play with brighter colors this spring! Since my mani was lacking some color, I knew I wanted a bright pop of color on my pedi. I ended up going with Essie’s "Bouncer, It’s Me" [don’t you love these polish names?! hehe]. Both colors can be found at Ulta for under $10.
Okay. How friggin’ fabulous is this coat?! I ordered it off Asos over President’s Day weekend which gave me a 15% discount + free shipping on an already affordable piece of outerwear. The "Salt & Pepper Skater Coat" only ended up costing me $50 - not bad for a well tailored, wool-lined coat. I especially love the fit & flare and belt to accentuate the waistline. Stay tuned for more picture of me wearing it out on the streets! ;)
Tell me you aren’t dying to have this dazzling (literally) necklace?! It’s okay, because that was my initial reaction when I stumbled across this Instagram post by Mindy Mae’s Market. She has the most fabulous statement jewelry pieces at unbeatable prices - I bought this beauty for just $19.99! …Don’t even get me started on her cute shoes too!
I wore this outfit last Sunday while helping one of my girlfriends shop for her new apartment, such a chore [do you hear the sarcasm?]. I didn’t want to take away from the statement piece so I put together a simple outfit to make the necklace pop even more. It’s paired with this new bright pink top that I had just picked up from TJMaxx ($15) [how cute is the scallop cut?!] then just threw on some jeans with my leopard flats and ta-da!
Sometimes less really is more. So have fun dressing up your simple outfits with sparkly statement pieces like look! ;)
Hello Fellow Fashionistas!
I am overjoyed with my new pink Steve Madden handbag! I found this cutie at [yep, you guessed it!] TJMaxx for just $36. So obviously I couldn’t wait to share with you all. ;) And since our winter has nearly been non-existent this year I figured I might as well bypass the winter colors and just jump straight into spring!
This handbag is just the right size for someone who wants more space than a clutch crossbody but still small enough to manage and not weigh down your shoulder. Plus how cute are the chain handles?! I especially love the 2 side pockets that are perfect for easy access to my iPhone and car keys (since they always seem to get lost in my giant tote bags).
Ohhh the things that make me a happy girl! So excited to add a pop of color to my wardrobe - talk about a nice boost of confidence with every look!
Hope you’re having a bright pinky day! :)
Hello Fabulous Followers!
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner so it’s time to spread some LOVE! Since I don’t have a “significant Valentine” this year, I wanted to devote my energy to making a sentimental gift to all my closest girlfriends. I cherish each friendship for different reasons so I wanted to make every card unique to their personalities.
It was such a blast making these cards - I forgot how much I enjoyed being crafty! The whole process truly felt therapeutic and rewarding. So I highly encourage you to try this next Valentine’s Day or even better if you surprise a loved when they least expect at random throughout the year.
All my supplies came from Michael’s Craft Store and totaled under $40 for about 10 people with plenty more supplies to spare. I chose to go with the canvas cards and envelopes with different “love” related papers to glue to the front of the cards. Of course [excessively] adding glittery stickers and border details to create some fun personality. (In my opinion, you can never go wrong with Elmer’s rubber cement glue for a quick, easy clean-up.) Then just start laying the papers and stickers and let creativity take it’s course!
So Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Smile at someone today, give away a compliment, and find new ways to share some love this year.
